Victim Awareness Night — 4/22/2010

The Floyd County Prosecutor’s Office and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) are hosting an event to honor victims of crime on Thursday, April 22, 2010.

“If you or someone you know is a victim of crime, help is available.”

This event begins at 7:00 pm and will be held at New Beginnings Community Church located at 104 Wooded Valley Drive in New Albany.

The general public is encouraged to attend. Information tables and refreshments will follow several speakers from the community who will include Prosecutor Keith Henderson.

    A victim of crime in connection with criminal charges filed by this office may be eligible to receive assistance from our Victim's Assistance Coordinator.

    The Victim’s Assistance Coordinator provides information for victims through interactions with law enforcement, prosecutors and during court proceedings; by providing support and guidance to victims and their families; by informing victims of their rights; and by advising victims and/or their families of case developments and any upcoming trial court or hearing dates.
