Charles Leatherbury Pleads Guilty to Child Molesting; Sentencing Hearing Set for Mid-July

New Albany resident Charles Leatherbury, 44, plead guilty to Child Molesting as a Class A Felony at a plea change hearing on June 17, 2010. According to the plea agreement, Leatherbury agreed to serve 30 years of a 35 year sentence; five years will be  suspended while on supervised probation.

The New Albany Police Department Criminal Investigation Division investigated this case, and Deputy Prosecutor Timothy Gray prosecuted the case on behalf of the State. Court appointed public defender Lisa Glickfield represented the defendant.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 15, 2010 in Floyd Superior Court 1.
