Prosecutor Keith Henderson Responds to Most Recent Camm Ruling

Special Judge Jonathan Dartt has denied a motion for a change of venue in the third trial of David Camm.

Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson said that he was pleased with the decision. “I look forward to getting this case moved forward and concluded for the victims’ family and the community,” he said.

Future court hearings in the trial will be held in either Warrick or Spencer County, which is adjacent to the current venue; however, the judge announced today that a jury will be selected in a county to the North of both the Louisville and Evansville media markets.

Both parties have been asked by the Court to submit a list of five potential counties from which a jury may be selected. In addition, both parties were asked to notify the Court as to whether or not they would agree for all future hearings and the trial to be held in Spencer County where Judge Dartt serves as Circuit Court Judge.

A hearing on the motion to appoint a special prosecutor will be held in Warrick County Superior Court 2 on September 24 unless both parties agree to move the case to Spencer County.
