Kentucky Resident Sentenced

On Friday, August 9, 2013, 32-year-old Wesley S. Bradshaw entered a plea of guilty in the Floyd County Superior Court 1. Bradshaw plead guilty to Causing Death When Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Scheduled I or II Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony.

Bradshaw, who has been in custody at the Floyd County jail since November 20, 2011, was formally charged with the death of Floyd County resident, Kevin N. Hammersmith, 52, just days after the fatal motor vehicle crash, which occurred in the late evening of November 19, 2011.

On Friday, August 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Floyd County Superior Court 1, Bradshaw was formally sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections for 15 years with 12 years to serve and 3 years suspended.
