Noah Nevil Convicted of Murder

New Albany, IN – Floyd County Prosecuting Attorney Keith A. Henderson announced today that State v Noah Nevil, Sr has been found guilty by twelve jurors of Murder.

Mr. Henderson said, “I’m pleased that the defendant was brought to justice for the brutal murder of a citizen of our community. It was a long trial and I appreciate the attentiveness and dedication of the jurors. I look forward to the sentencing where I anticipate that he will receive a prison term that is appropriate for a heinous crime like this.”

Murder carries a potential sentence of 45 to 65 years in prison, with an advisory sentence of 55 years. Mr. Nevil had also previously been charged with Arson Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (a Level 2 Felony).

Nevil is anticipated to be sentenced on May 31, 2018 at 10:00am in Floyd Circuit Court (4th Floor) of the City-County Building, New Albany, Indiana. Mr. Henderson and Deputy Prosecutor Jerome Jacobi represented the State of Indiana.
